Path to Profitable Growth strategy presented

The ‘Path to Profitable Growth’ strategy is based on three objectives: capture the upturn in energy and infrastructure, differentiate by integrated digital solutions, and leverage core expertise in new growth markets.

2017

Divestment of marine light construction & installation activities, to Global Marine

Fugro divested its non-core trenching and cable laying business to Global Marine Group (GMG), a global, leading supplier of subsea cable installation and maintenance services.

2016

Set-up of 4 global business lines

Fugro set up site characterisation and asset integrity business lines for both marine and land environments.

2014

Acquisition of Roames and Raildata

The acquisition of Roames, a company specialising in high-resolution mapping services and solutions, and Raildata, who specialised in the measurement of absolute and relative position of railway tracks.

2013

Divestment of majority of Geoscience division and new joint venture established

Fugro completed the divestment of the majority of Geoscience division to CGG and establishes Seabed Geosolutions joint-venture with CGG.

2011

Fugro acquires TSMarine (Australia) and Ocean Bottom Nodes (Norway)

2006

Modernisation and expansion of Fugro vessel fleet

Modernisation and expansion of fleet of vessels in the period 2006-2008 with five seismic vessels and five multi-purpose vessels.

2003

Largest acquisition in the history of Fugro

Fugro completes its largest acquisition by taking over Thales Geosolutions, with some 1,200 employees. This takeover strengthens Fugro’s position in the province of offshore survey but also adds new activities to our roster, such as the development of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and deepwater diving operations in Brazil.
